He is a professional doctoral candidate at the University of Limerick, and holds a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science, an MSc in Exercise & Nutrition Science, and lectures the Fundamentals of Nutrition at Sacred Heart University in Dingle.
From underage teams to senior levels, clubs provide players with structured coaching, competitive opportunities, and a deep sense of pride in their community. It is within these environments that emerging talent is nurtured, where players build resilience, leadership, and the work ethic required to compete at the highest level. As part of this development, education around nutrition is key, ensuring that players at all levels understand the role of fuelling, recovery, and hydration in their performance, growth, and overall health.
