Vondel Reyes is a Research Professional in the Department of Food Science & Technology at the University of Georgia. He has a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology from the National University of Agriculture in Honduras. He earned his master’s and doctorate degrees from the School of Nutrition and Food Sciences at Louisiana State University. Vondel has educational and industry hands-on experience with an engineering background that has given him the necessary skills to conduct research and solve problems in a variety of food science domains. He has conducted research on a variety of topics, such as freezing, spray drying, delivery systems, seafood by-products, and food safety. This research experience has resulted in the publication of 22 peer-reviewed articles in collaboration with other researchers.
